JAIL ran overnight north to the CN interchange and CSX as well. They didn’t have a daytime crew available so they did the northbound run at night. Picked up two coil cars at CSX and six boxcars at CN.

Re: Shortline Updates - October 2021
I went up to Broman to see how the repairs were going on Marquette Rail this morning. The cars had been pulled clear of the track and only a short section of rail was missing. There was a crew on site and it looked like it would be repaired today.
Here is a video of stills I took.

As of yesterday, MQT 2041 (orange) and 2042 (yellow) were assigned to Manistee, and MMRR 2057 (orange) and MQT 2040 (yellow) were assigned to Ludington. 3391 was also at the Manistee roundhouse. 3406, 2044 (yellow) and another SD are currently on the Sparta turn, which did not run yesterday due to continued derailment cleanup.

If you look up a couple posts, they mentioned the train was parked south of Grand Haven, facing northbound for a bit.jaykirks wrote: ↑Thu Oct 28, 2021 8:08 amMichigan Shore MMRR #2019 Long Hood Forward (moving at a very slow pace with a short stop) with 7 of those ballast hoppers, 1 hopper, 3 covered sand hoppers, 3 tank cars down north at Airline Rd & Summit Ave, Muskegon Hts. 7:55 AM. Indeed, I've seen the posts. Maybe they went south earlier in the week.~Z~ wrote: ↑Thu Oct 28, 2021 11:33 amIf you look up a couple posts, they mentioned the train was parked south of Grand Haven, facing northbound for a bit.jaykirks wrote: ↑Thu Oct 28, 2021 8:08 amMichigan Shore MMRR #2019 Long Hood Forward (moving at a very slow pace with a short stop) with 7 of those ballast hoppers, 1 hopper, 3 covered sand hoppers, 3 tank cars down north at Airline Rd & Summit Ave, Muskegon Hts. 7:55 AM. Re: Shortline Updates - October 2021
A little late, but GRE made two trips east yesterday and the yard in GR is still full. Lowell has cars on 3 tracks in town. Too dark to see the tracks along the River.
