14:12 CT: Eastbound off the CSX and onto the NS and CP 497 at Gary...I would presume this is a Q326. He's lined up back onto the Chessie at CP 482 in Chesterton.

D708-15 ran around their train at Ogihara and backed into Howell with the former Amtrak unit on the lead for the last two miles of its trip. It would have been more impressive if it was not running long end first. D708 will now go to Peaker to pick up CSX units 541 & 544.

Could be heard in Brighton around 16:30, not sure if east or westbound, probably east.

Anyone know if GLC will be working Ann Pere tonight? Or will we have daylight tomorrow to check out that special engine?

One or more engines are sitting just inside the west end of Brighton siding, appears to be a crossing malfunction at Challis Rd, or they are on the circuit.

I thought it was D708 but they called Clear 56 at 19:20.

GLC is also working Howell at the moment, answering my question from earlier.

D708-15 departed Howell for Lansing at 19:22 with 69 cars. GLC coming out onto CSX right behind 708 to put 52 cars in the Howell pass and pick the cars 708 left for them including the ex Amtrak unit. Once again, the best laid plans have fallen apart. Last Wednesday, D708 taxied to Plymouth to pick up a Webberville grain empty and spot it in the plant. It had only one unit, CSX 369 so therefore would need an eastward facing unit from somewhere when it was time to move the load. Just prior to getting to Peaker, the RN informed D708 they wanted them to set off the two units from Peaker to get an eastward facing unit onto the grain load. But guess what? Both units were also facing west too so they sat them off in the Brighton siding. When they get a crew, they will taxi to Brighton to take this power to Plymouth to wye it to take back to Webberville. Or so it stands at the moment.
