Detroit Connecting RR heading for CN Interchange with 3 Scrap Gons and 1 Tank on their usual Thursday run.

Grand elk north through Byron center for the first time this week (northbound that is). 7:45pm, wamx 4125, 4124, 4209, 4206 and approx 45 cars.

Back south approx 10pm, maybe 15 cars.

Z151 thru the west side of Grand Rapids approaching Sunnyside interlocking. Three SD-40-2's with a land barge.

MMRR south at Riley St. Holland 9:44 AM.

Heading back north 11:22 AM.

GRE was in Lowell on Friday. Left around 20 hoppers, CMO and UP mostly.

SB LSRC Z127 in Wixom w CSX 3130/LSRC 6355

Earlier a SB coal empty passed thru.

Z151 is in Wyoming Yard putting his train together. The conductor told me it's a biggie. Three Sd-40-2's. 13:00 : Still putting it's train together! Doing air test. Should depart soon.

Grand Elk decided to stroll into town, north through Byron Center at 1:12pm. WAMX 4125, 4124, 4189 and 46 cars.

Back south approx 3:15pm with WAMX 4189, 4125, and 4206, many many cars.

3:41pm - stopped just north of Moline at 146th Ave. Looks like the crew is gone, so will be a bit before they are recrewed.

9pm edit: rode bicycle back out to 146th, train is gone. They worked Nutrien Ag Solutions in Moline as there was 1 red covered hopper there earlier in the day, but 6 in the evening.

Grand Elk north through Byron Center at 3:23pm. WAMX 4206, WAMX 4225 and 65 cars.

Back south at 8:39pm. Approx 50 cars, 2 locos up front.

HESR 702 departing Durand at 5:45 PM headed back to Saginaw

Wednesday evening, JAIL made a northbound run to Lansing and went as far as the CN interchange. Last night they resumed their normal southern routine and took about a dozen coils south to Jackson.

While unusual for them to come north at night it’s not unheard of, especially when CSX or CN deliver cars late that their customers need, if they have crew shortages since they do not have an extra board or if there is track work or power issues that prevent them from coming north during the day.

JAIL is NB at Mount Hope Road in Lansing at 10:00 AM. Not on the Baker spur but on the mainline.

Michigan Shore was south at the Grand Haven swing bridge at 07:50 this morning. MMRR 2170 leading MMRR 2019 and about 15 cars, mostly ash gons with the hoppers and tanks on the rear.

What I presume was Lake State was southbound through Birch Run approx 9:20am. Saw from i75 overpass.

Got back from vacation late last night. Heard GDLK in Plainwell just before midnight, and again an hour later. Not sure if they worked Otsego, ran up to Martin, or just sat there, Its somewhat unusual, at least lately, to hear them that late.

The Elk is NB from Plainwell after working Otsego. Didn't see it, so no count, but can hear it just fine.
