1:22pm and still no empty coal train through New Richmond. Haven’t heard a peep on the scanner, either. I wonder where they are hanging out. Hmmmm…

D801-04 is till waiting for Q326 to move out of the way in Holland. D801-04 will deliver the empty coal train to Grand Junction siding mp CG54, cut away the CSX engines & take them east to Wells siding mp CG43.3 & grab the loaded coal train that is tied down inside Wells. Sounds like Q326 is getting ready to depart.

I figured that might be the case. Oh well, as long as it doesn’t start raining, I don’t mind the wait (even though I hustled my arse off to get to the spot I’m at on the hill). 😀

Green Oak DD at CH39.1 said 448 axles, 6533 feet

Called RN dispatcher and discussed low fuel in one of the locos. They’ll figure it out after they get past Plymouth.

23:18 CT: Horns on the CSX in Michigan City. It's westbound, presumed E800 empties converted from that D801 earlier.

06:02 CT: Looks like Q326 - if not an N800 - is waiting at Curtis / CP 497 to enter the Chicago Line. Looks like he may be moving shortly.

06:55 CT: Q326 on sheet at PO Tower aka CP 482 on the NS Chicago Line. UP 6462 leading, UP 7710 in the middle. Lots of freight, I’m sure somebody will provide the car count later. Too bad it’s an ugly leader Widecab GE that’s faded and doesn’t have the nose herald.
