CSX OCS Train on Wednesday, 8/25/2021 Post.

I’d like this post to be a concentrated heads up thread for the CSX OCS Train that will be running thru Michigan on Wednesday, August 25th, 2021.

This is the first time in seven years that this train has been through Michigan and it will be quite exciting/foamy out there.

What we know so far:

Departs Barr Yard/Chicago at 7:00 AM
Approx 4.5 hours to Grand Rapids
1 hour tour of Wyoming Yard
Depart for Rougemere

OCS is not staying in Michigan overnight and will eventually head south to Toledo.

Not favorable times for me to catch it unfortunately. I have Faurecia coming in for a visit tomorrow afternoon. Sure hope you all get awesome pics and videos!! Can’t wait to see them!!

Abandoned road bed. I don't believe they ever got service but they'd be happy to use it if it was an option. They produce white potash. I'm not sure who the operator is of the mine these days but last I loaded there it was IMC Kalium about 17 years ago.
