Bob, not saying you were wrong, but I'm fairly certain it was CP 8502 on the rear of K862.
Thanks Jon, I will take anything you say over what I think I may see, like only a few days when I thought I saw 6243 in the night and you corrected it to 6244. This is why I am glad in my elder years with my failing eyesight, CP trains no longer go by here. Between mostly being dirty and faded, the reflectorized numbers peel and chip so bad, they are hard enough to read in the daytime, let alone at 02:25 in the morning.

Despite standing trackside on the corner under the street light, I actually read it as 9502, but quickly checking my records to find 9502 had been rebuilt and re-numbered and finding 9592 was still out there, I changed it to that. With you saying it was 8502, there was no doubt in my mind that is what it was because even the 8500 series numbers are now chipped badly. Thanks again. !!!!

Coal empties west at Glenlord Rd. in Stevensville.

With Tom on vacation (?), we all have to work a little harder. He claims to be retired Amtrak signal department. But with his remote surveillance skills, I suspect he is ex-CIA and the Amtrak thing is just a cover.

22:52 EDT P370-22 STOPPED AT BANGOR DROPPED OFF SOME PASSENGERS AND THEN IS BACKING BACK TO GROSS SIDING TO WAIT ON Q327 WHO IS CURRENTLY GOING DOWN THE HILL. Y597-22 HAS 57 CARS BRINGING INTO WYOMING AND STILL HAS THEIR BACK LEAD WORK AND ANOTHER TRIP BACK UP THE WEST SIDE. SOUNDS LIKE FUN ON THE RR TONIGHT.

P371 just passed Glenlord Rd in Stevensville.

In round numbers, he was 40 minutes late at Holland and an hour late at Bangor and St Joe.

Not sure what got him. Haven’t been listening to scanner. Assuming some combination of the track work and maybe the storm that blew through just after 7am.

hi tss
700 was main to siding at holland, as 371 called clear vriesland approx 640a
326 stabbed 371 for 30 some mins going main to pass at holland and having to line switches
at we waverly yard.
371 went be east waverly at 747a - main to main
371 stopped at waverly for 20 some mins, then slowly moved toward holland on the main as 326
rounded the curve between the west wye switch and east wye switch in the pass, iirc 326 cleared the holland os
at approx 725a, 371 arrived holland after that
326 ran holland pass to waverly pass, moving pass to the main at east waverly, 2 motors elephant stlye with 109 cars
iirc. then add in the ec1's to move through the mow controlled area from east saugatuck to waverly and you have the delays
to 371's running time
no storm delays, just 326 getting in the clear and the mow work zones

What a mess. Here’s hoping they do better tomorrow. I’ll be on the train to Chicago and I’d like to be on time!
