Heads up SW EB approaching South Lyon
Thx, Micah_D! Couldn't wait as it was getting dark and I was on my bike with 5+ miles to go. At least I got to see the SB coal empties as I rode along Northville Rd.

D801-16 @ 16:50 copied his EC1 to go from Grand Rapids mp CG3.6 to West Olive mp CGP 1.0 with UP engines #8106 + #7327 as lite power to pick up an empty coal train.
Any updates on this? I just heard what sounded like a GEVO go through town but I’m not sure if the 8106 had its horn swapped out or not.

Trailing unit on this is an AC6000 rebuild that should lead heading south.
Empty coal train has a new crew, D802-17, and copied their EC1 at 9:18pm now with UP engine #7327 + UP #8106. Unknown if he also has BNSF engines on his train. He will depart the power plant & go as far as Holland on the Fremont sub-division & will wait there until Amtrak passes by him before he can continue westward on the Grand Rapids sub-division.

He's estimating 45 minutes travel time to Holland. Amtrak tonight is due to arrive Holland Station at 10:38pm. He will be taking his train into Gross (pronounced as "Ghrass") Siding mp CG63.1 which is only 6/10ths of a mile from the Bangor Live cam, so, we'll be seeing a slow pass by of him on that cam.

Does that empty coal train also have BNSF power on it? I've been trying to keep track of the BNSF engines on this sub-division, and, unless I've missed something, I have noted there is a loaded coal train still in Wells & Grand Junction sidings & no BNSF power at West Olive? I am missing what the 2nd BNSF engine was on N800-16 that ran this morning with BNSF #6242, the paint was so faded I couldn't read its number. He had tied down in Wells this morning & was told not to break his train. E800-16 a little while ago had set off CXST engines #7010 + #530 into Wells to be N800-16's rear dpu's. Thanks for any info :)
No BNSF power what so ever.

Approaching Van Buren st southbound on the Fremont Sub. Loud and healthy K3 on the lead unit. Not sure if the train is still D801 or is E801

It's D802-17 and here's the game plan for him: when Amtrak passes by him in Holland mp CG25.3 & he will take the empty coal cars to into Gross Siding mp CG61.3 After those empty cars are secured (wonder if they plan to cut them since that siding has 4 crossings), he will then go back eastward to Grand Junction Siding mp CG55.6 to DP the N801-15 that was tied down there yesterday and take that train to West Olive. There is also a loaded coal train (N800-16) tied down inside Wells Siding mp CG41.4 too.
NOTE: his plans were changed big time. He left the UP engines & empty coal cars inside Gross Siding, crew was taxied to Wells Siding to move that loaded coal train out & it already had the 2 CSXT rear dpu's but then they didn't have enough time to get the train all the way to West Olive so they were told to just leave it in Wells. It appears the plan was to leave the UP engines in Gross all along with that train & it was thought the loaded coal train that had the CSX dpu's was the one in Grand Junction.

D702 must have sneaked into Zeeland sometime today. They picked up one centerbeam from Zeeland Lumber and setoff one swoosh BNSF covered hopper at Vanden Bosch feed. Elsewhere, De Leeuw Lumber has one centerbeam also awaiting pickup.

D802-17 @ 00:14:20 westward Bangor’s Center St crossing mp CG60.35 with Union Pacific engines #7327 + #8106 & 105 empty coal cars. He’s setting off only the empty coal cars inside Gross Siding mp CG63.1

D700-17 @ 01:54:40 westward Bangor's Center St crossing mp CG60.35 with CSXT engines #2502 + #2349 & 8 cars (5 CH’s + 3 Reefers). He had work for Hartford mp CG68.7 & I think at Coloma mp CG75.8 too. He wasn't going as far as Sawyer.

After researching again on Rewind, the Main Cam froze up after 2 lightning flashes happening at 03:28am but the Bangor Depot cam was still operating & was able to see D700 going by there on the smaller video screen at the bottom right corner of the main Cam's video. :)

D700-17 @ 04:07 eastward reported by DD mp CG44.2 with 56 axles & 854 feet long. CSXT engines #2349 + #2502 & 12 cars. (Main Cam at Bangor was frozen due to the storm)

Anybody know what happened to P371 this morning? He left GR on time and was over an hour late at Holland.

As they used to say about the old Milwaukee Road mainline, “When it rains, the grass turns green and the signals turn red.”
