There are around 9 or 10 hoppers in Lowell one looks like a higher capacity hopper. Kind of light traffic this week.

GDLK should be northbound. Heard them switching Otsego after 2:00, but missed them when they left Plainwell.

JAIL getting ready to head for lots of work in Lansing this morning. 8 coils for RSDC, 1 flat of metal bars, and 2 boxcars for the CN interchange. Departing at 8am.

1760/1758 is the power w 1760 on the lead NBD out of Mason.

Flat car most likely going to the old Harris Rebar aka Ambassador Steel.

They are setting out bundles of new ties today for summer placement on their mainline. There are about a dozen bathtub hoppers of the mind MQT has been using for ballasting in a pickup at Waverly Yard, wouldn’t surprise me if ballasting is also in the works on some portion of the Michigan Shore this summer. Good to see the investment! 👍

Very interesting... wonder if they are actually gonna be doing anything more though... they still have stick rail waiting to be replaced... that's been sitting for years now lol

Where is the stick rail at? Most likely, it's there for spot replacement purposes, and any major production rehab would be CWR.

GRHC - you know every night I can imagine he is in front of his computer screen sitting in his underwear swearing profusely and drinking Blatz beer combing the RailRoadFan website for grammatical errors.

Signal maintainer working on the LIRR today.

Also, off of FB...ADBF 1758/1760 are SB, power light, at the Barnes Rd. Crossing south of Mason. Could this mean a daytime Jackson run?

The units are between Covert and Eden roads. It looks like they are using them to aid in some trackwork.
