Sounds like Grand Elk is already southbound out of GR, possibly blowing for 44th right now.

Edit. Correction. They were heading north earlier. Now heading south crossing 54th St (visual from the Home Depot parking lot).

Grand elk south through Byron Center at 8:33pm. Wamx 4125 and WAMX 4225, both long hood forward, and I think 48 cars. Leaves are getting thick since I saw the train last week.

Logistically it makes sense for CSX to have JAIL interchange the lumber to CN but considering all the crazy routings railroads use to keep the revenue I'm still surprised it was done. I wonder if there is a back-story to why JAIL was included :?

Wild isn’t it? CSX just wants that dough I guess. Instead of running it to Toledo or Chicago and handing it off, might as well take it to the net? Lol good on em. It’s what CN would’ve done too

JAIL given the clear to get into CSX trackage. Will have to throw switches by hand as dispatcher said he could not get them to move automatically.

ADBF track crew is at the Kalamazoo Street crossing with backhoes and all sorts of fun stuff.

Facebook chatter discussing CSX picking up the western wheat hauling for the GRE from an NS-Grand Elk routing. I assume this is some of the recent BNSF and UP covered hoppers coming up in small blocks on Q326. There was a CNW covered hopper in the mix yesterday. Does King mill any local grains, or do they just mill stuff brought from elsewhere and distribute around west Michigan?
