All 38 cars on D70609 this morning were stone empties. D70509 had 74 cars out of Detroit and was by Howell at 02:32.. All signal calls between Plymouth and Lansing was nothing but static with barely any audible voice. Sounded as if it had a DPU on the rear, as was reported.

Q326-09 @ 13:43 eastward stopped at the Holland Depot mp CG25.3 to set off 5 cars at Waverly. The rear of his train has E. 8th Ave partially blocked & crossing remains activated (island circuit occupied). CSXT engines #7206 + #30 & 120 cars.
Note: engines are configured elephant style. Yesterday's Q327-08 had said the CSXT #30 had a traction motor cut out & couldn't be the leading engine.

Even though things change fast, the DPU on D70509 could have been 3222 as it was seen with 800 on a northbound in Georgia only five days ago.

Even though things change fast, the DPU on D70509 could have been 3222 as it was seen with 800 on a northbound in Georgia only five days ago.

I wouldn’t be surprised if 3302 was rear DPU. It was leading a northbound CSX train through Romulus yesterday and 800 was rear DPU.
