2 eastbound NS train raced through Romulus @2:12. No train IDs were given. The train on track 1 had NS 4214 + 4434. The train on track 2 has NS 5823. Both were mixed freight.

5823 was likely leading B73 or B71.

5823 was likely leading B73 or B71.

After further discussion on the scanner it was indeed B73

121 @3:06pm cleared Romulus Westbound w/ NS 9894

If it was mixed freight the one with 4214 and 4434 should have been 188 more than likely.

Thanks! I heard a train calling 188 on the radio in oakwood yard but I wasn’t sure if it was them.

Most likely you heard the yard calling the 188 to give them permission by 10 which is east of where you are. I use that as a way to figure out train symbols if I didn’t happen to hear them when the train went by. It happens shortly after they clear Romulus but usually after the train had completely gone by and you can get back to the scanner.

176 is reported to have NS 4200 & 1071 going to Sterling Heights this evening.

What happened to 1071, I sat in Sterling for THREE hours last night and he was a noshow, He's been VERY under the radar, I assume he's left...?
