Train must be in TC now or was a bit ago, fresh flange marks on both South Airport crossings (one on the main. The other is on the Grawn branch to Beacon).

Overnight on the GLC TC run, they brought up at least one lumber load for Amerhart and took the 3 loads from Beacon and dropped off 2 empties. Nobody else noticed this stealth night run??

I can't imagine they're going to TC Again, More than likely a Petoskey Run.

What's with all of these sudden Stealth Night Runs to TC?

Just hang out in tent city along the GLC just south of the Goodwill Inn with the "urban outdoorsman", there's over 200 of them living along the GLC in their tents with plenty of bonfires and whisky to keep you warm!

Got a hobo colony there too eh?

There’s a good sized one on the CSX tracks in downtown Lansing.

We've got 3 that have over 100 people each. This one over 200 people. GLC had to put up no trespassing signs at the mentioned camp, which did absolutely no good of course.

I’ve read about the lack of affordable house up in the TC/Petoskey regions.

Are they camped out on GLC property?

Yes, on GLC property, and often sitting and chilling with their bottles right on the rails. With recent night trains, hopefully they are smart/sober enough to get off the tracks. We deal with them several times a day sometimes up here. Fights, robbing each other, other "interesting" things....We removed a tree limb placed on the rail itself a few weeks ago there (it didn't fall, it was a 4' chunk laying on the rail lengthwise with the rail).

I was driving over there once for some reason, and out of nowhere, some guy (probably stoned out of his mind) runs across the tracks and right into the path of my car. I missed him, somehow, but I'm surprised there aren't more incidents like that over there.
