Despite amessmann reporting D70531 by the west end of Howell at 21:12 last night, it was 21:23 when the tail end went by me after running slow speed thru the pass around the 63 cars parked on the main, and I am not that west of the west end. 705 had 112 cars with DPU on the rear. As Dan reported, their Lansing set out was left at Trowbridge and their plan was to back onto the 76 cars on main two behind their DPU. That in turn meant the DPU would no longer be on the rear leaving Lansing. Perhaps D705 has not left Lansing yet as their has been no report by Tom of an axel count of this train. Knowing the axel count would determine how many cars were set off at Trowbridge.

Meanwhile, the crew for the Webberville G76430 grain load arrived at the plant by 20:00 long before D705 ever got to South Lyon so they had a two hour wait to get out onto the main but got air tests made on various tracks before their arrival. Train departed the plant at 23:33 with its 83 cars, arrived at the west end of Howell at 23:58 to run around the cars parked on the main, cleared Ann Pere diamond at 00:18, thru Brighton at 00:33 and South Lyon at 00:50. This in turn meant I was dead on two days ago when I mentioned to ammessman, who asked, that the grain load would not be moving east until after the first of the year. End of Transmission.

D705-31 westward between 01:10am/01:40am was reported by the DD mp CH104.3 with 600 axles & 8,874 feet long. CSXT #738 leading + CSXT #3211 (mid/rear DPU?) & 147 cars.

D705-31 westward between 01:40am/02:10am was reported by the DD mp CH126.3 with 600 axles.

Between 02:40am/03:10am hear him getting yarding instructions for Grand Rapids & Dispatcher gave instructions where to put their DPU engine. No crew changes, he stayed as D705-31 for all radio calls.

NB D738 just cleared Lilley Rd on the siding, followed almost immediately by NB grain empties on the main. 738 had CSX 6555 + 7 cars: 3 boxcars and 4 covered hoppers. The grain empties continued north to LSRC with CSX 970 + 5245 + 7010 + 89 covered hoppers, most with MULX reporting marks. A few minutes later heard a garbled V765 on the scanner, so maybe that's what it was.
