You've got 30 minutes to get to the tracks Micah. D70630 by Howell at 07:50 with 123 cars. CSX 751+3203 on the head end. First time since D706 started that they did not bring the power back that came out of Detroit the day before. GLC Z-624 was over on CSX in the night again to pick up the 72 cars D708 left yesterday and put 78 more for D708 today into the Howell passing siding.
Interesting, those 2 engines ran on yesterday's Q326, and hearing this morning's Q327-30 with the CSX #3460 leading & most likely also has the CSX #3029. The CSX #3460 + #3029 had been running on D705 & D706.

Hopefully this is the start to something interesting, Would bring more variety. But business is business. :D
It kind of works out, Less power sitting idle in Wyoming, If train schedules change, It makes a lot of sense

@01:02:50am eastbound loaded coal train with 2 BNSF engines and 130 loaded coal cars arriving Bangor Michigan MP 60.72
From the scanner archives this was N800-29 with BNSF engine #9001 leading & is most likely paired with the BNSF #6040. He went into Grand Junction siding mp CG55.6 to tie down.

[quote=ns8401 Does GLC come out on to the CSX to fetch the cars and leave theirs?

Yes they do, and several times a week now with the large amount of interchange cars between GLC & CSX at Ann Pere. While it can be done several ways, the usual scenario of late is for GLC to come onto CSX off the transfer backing their set off cars west of town, and pull into the siding on top of the CSX set off. Then then push the pick up cars out of the siding east of town, and leaving their set off cars behind. They then go back west across the diamond to get back on to the transfer. On some occasions, they are so long they have to have the westbound signal again at Howell to get head room to back onto the transfer.

Q327-30 @ 09:45am westward on the move again after actuating the DED at mp CG66.2 near axle 21 at 09:22am. Radio calls are pretty broken up in that area, couldn't hear what if anything was found. He has CSX engine #3460 & 84 cars & rear CSX #3029, the alarm was at/near the 4th car.
Q327-30 @ 10:25am westward reported clear of the St Joseph Bridge.

D801-30 @ 6:17pm westward entered the main at Holland mp CG25.3 with CSX engines #817 + #3065 & might be bringing an empty coal train into Wells siding mp CG41.4 Dispatcher had asked him how many BNSF engines are still in West Olive & he had replied 2.
D801-30 @ 7:00pm westward reported by the DD mp CG44.2 with 532 axles & 6,903 feet long. Axle math works out for 2 engines & 130 cars. Apparently, he has just the 2 CSX engines with 130 empty coal cars & may be headed for Grand Junction siding mp CG53.9 ??

Unusual pick up and set off moves for D708 today. Coming east from Fowlerville, they set off Lansing cars in the Ogihara run around, went east to Brighton and sat off 9 GLC Ann Pere cars there, came back to Howell and only picked up 43 of the 78 cars GLC sat off for CSX in the night and went back to Lansing leaving the Lansing cars in the Ogihara run around. Plan for tomorrow is to pick up 46 cars at Webberville, which in turn means they would have to go to South Lyon to run around their train, pick up the 9 GLC cars at Brighton and spot put them in the transfer, back into the Howell siding to get the 35 cars they left behind, and then get the Lansing cars in the Ogihara run around. Or so it says in fine print. Subject to change of course.
