Spotted a northbound empty coal train on the CN Holly Subdivision at Caniff St in Detroit, MI on May 15, 2015 @ 0850. Missed the power. Could be two BNSF units that came south the other day.

118 and 533 are at Moterm. 118 has a SD70M-2 upfront and a SD70M-2 DPU midway through the train.

I missed most of 385!!!! Now, I stayed last night at my friend Mazon's Apt. in Richmond! It's a block from the tracks; I walked there (Grand Trunk AVE.) and photographed southbound 524 at 9:42 a.m. It had "Long Hood Forward"
Blue GTW GP38-2 #4917 (one of 2 with "White Plow Stripes") and 24 cars. I then went with Mazon to the MTM station, Mt. Clemens. We went over "Stuff" and took the yearly "Crew Manual Test!" Just before "Testing" at 12:43 p.m.—the same GTW Local came and the engine stopped right next to the station!!!! :D It was loud and kind of funny! The train took back two empty hoppers from Phoenix Stone®, reversed ends!

Now, I went back to Mazon's, Richmond, and saw the end of train 385 passing a field from his window! I had my scanner going (missed "Dispatching" when it left Pt. Huron).
I didn't see the locos—but heard it was led by "Cowl" C40-8M #2400!!!!

Saw what looked like a CN-painted GTW geep leading a cut of boxcars south on the Shoreline Sub from a SMART bus on Eureka Road in Wyandotte approx. 1105 hours. Saw the headlights from the same train earlier as we went through the Ford Avenue crossing-this got me thinking about that recent CSX-MARTA crash in Atlanta and what would happen if a similar scenario happened had we went through that crossing a few minutes later.

CN 2810 leading what looks like 501 at Port Huron, but id'd itself to Customs as 503. Desk 8 just told 4917 there's 2 385's today. 4917 getting a track authority to head south with 4 cars. Permission to Haven.

2810 should be on it's way south, as one of the 2 385's. They got their track authority about half an hour ago.

I worked at the MTM station, Mt. Clemens! Local train 524 has GTW GP38-2 #4917 (one of 2 with white "Plow Stripes")! It worked Metro Industries®, picked up 2 "Open Top" hoppers and waited on the siding with 10 cars. Train 533 came at 3:19 p.m. with CN C40-8 #2037 and 10 loaded "Well Car" sets!!!! Train 524 was still waiting on the side track when I left after 4:00!!!!

I saw southbound 385 (caught it quick at Schoenherr St., Warren) around 6 p.m. It had BCOL C40-8M #4610 and CN C44-9W #2557. It had 117 cars!!!!

Near Royal Oak (Meininger Park), I saw a southbound "Double Stack" train probably headed to Moterm! It had "Lone" CN C40-8W #2174! It had a CN SD70M-2 "Helper" in the middle! I didn't get the engine number—ran to get a picture!!!!
