R599-02 @ 13:34 westward Holland Depot mp CG25.3 with BNSF engine #6298 & 129 empty coal cars & rear BNSF #8489 & CSX engines #797 + #3138. He’ll be going into Wells Siding mp CG41.4 & tie down & then take the CSX power to Grand Jct mp CG54 to pick up the N800-01.

R599-02 @ 16:18 exastward reported by the DD mp CG44.2 with 532 axles & 7,080 feet long. BNSF engine #9040 & 130 loaded coal cars & rear dpu engine BNSF #9292. This was N800-01 that had tied down in Grand Jct mp CG54 today. They had opted to take the train to the CSX power to be added at the east end of Wells mp CG41.3 instead of bringing the CSX power to Grand jct.

E800-02 @ 17:54:41 westward Bangor’s Center St crossing cam mp CG60.35 This is the 2nd time since March 20th an empty coal train had returned with only 1 of the original engines that had arrived on a loaded coal train. Usually, the pair of engines that arrives the power plant on a loaded coal train will be the same pair used on a returning empty coal train. Instead, 1 engine was from 2 different pairs were put together for the outbound empty coal train.

Question for Tom and others. There was a meet at Trowbridge on Saturday. I noticed both trains had steel coil cars more than I had seen on past CSX trains in the Lansing area. Is there a reason for this? Thanks in advance.
