The first new Siemens Charger train set for VIA Rail is in Chicago. A UP crew is taking them to Markham Yard now to be handed off to CN. They got off the Elsdon Sub at West CN Junction at 7:45 AM eastern.
We were expecting them on a 396 as that is the usual train that handles freight from the UP but now we may see them on a Z148 which originates in Markham. Union Pacific did run it as a unique train with a solo locomotive so that COULD happen as well although CN probably would rather piggyback it on a freight.

R934 the lansing local dropped off four empty scrap gons and six full boxcars to JAIL today.
They have two empty boxcars and a high and wide load on a flat car to pick up.

4 CNs, #2937 + #3901 + #3908 + #3099 lead M394 east by mp205 around 16:00 with an axle count of 724

M396 earlier had CN 3116 and UP 7703 and was clear Waverly Road in Lansing at 12:35 PM.

Valparaiso, IN at 4:15 PM. Solo UP leader. No other freight attached.
P69891 is the Symbol for the VIA move FYI. UP8xxx
