Thanks for this update. I assume D700 will “run long” to Hartford and far SW Michigan when needed. Will they also do all the Waverly transfer work again, allowing Q326/327 to just roll through Holland?

I would assume that D700 (and maybe occasionally Y121) will handle all of the traffic in and out of Waverly to Grand Rapids. The city of Holland will be pleased to not have 326 and 327 blocking crossings for long periods of time. I also forgot to mention that they want D700 to run 7 days per week, filling it off of the extra board on the 2 days the regular crew has off. We'll see how that works out for them.

I was told regular crew for D700 will be off Sun/Mon so those will be the extra board days.

Should speed up 326/327 and put an end to those canceled set off/pickups where cars sit or go to chicago for a ride unnecessarily.

The way it sounded, the crew on D706-23 that died at South Lyon on Thursday, recrewed its own train as D705-24 east this morning to take it to Detroit and bring back D705. If that is the case, D705 will probably die itself at or before in gets to Lansing.

D705-24 died in Williamston. D905-25 (relief crew for D705) is taxiing shortly from Ensel to Williamston to get the train and work Ensel and take it west to GR. #redrocket

Power for D905 is CSX 5340/CSX 47
