On the Virtual Railcam Elkhart Live Cảm at 5:31am, Grand Elk was seen heading towards Elkhart Yard with WAMX #4209 and 23 cars (7 tankers, 2 empty centerbeams, 2 covered hoppers and 12 boxcars)

Z439 and Z151 are both building their train at this time in Wyoming Yard. Unsure who’s departing first

Z151-13 had MQT #3408, MQT #3406, MQT #3391 and 141 cars (37 loads and 104 empties). 91 of those 141 cars were empty CSX grain hoppers bound for Newaygo. Rest are regular cars MQT would bring up

Grand Elk back south through Byron Center at 2:07pm. WAMX 4189, WAMX 4125, and 21 cars. Mostly tank cars, 7ish box cars, and 2 covered hoppers.

Grand Elk went back north to Kalamazoo at 7:31am on the Virtual Railcam Elkhart cam with WAMX #4209 and 40 cars (mix of boxcars, covered hoppers, tankers, centerbeams and few high top hoppers filled with coke)

Grand Elk horns heard in the distance around 44th St @ 10:50pm

Does anyone know what the status is for the Hamilton Northwestern RR: are they still in operation & working Holland? schedule? If I recall correctly, they communicate by cell phone with Dispatch, tracking by the scanners is not possible.

Below is a report I posted in December.
As far as I know nothing has changed. The last time I visited Hamilton Michigan was in early March.
From what I know they are now interchanging with CSX at the run around track located near Waverly and 40th St. in Holland Michigan.
Please note I do not work for the railroad and I do not get to see the line on a daily basis so my information may be outdated or slightly off.

GLLX engines #1397 + #1416 are tied up inside the Endeavor facility in Hamilton Michigan.
There are 0 cars inside the Endeavor facility in Hamilton Michigan and 0 cars stored on the siding in Fillmore Michigan.

Note: from the snow piled on the tracks at the grade crossings and the heavy rust on the rails it looks as though the Hamilton Northwestern hasn’t run in quite some time.

Z151-14 @ 9:52am reported to Rouge Tower they brought in 46 cars for Wyoming Yard with MQT #3391 leading

Sounds like Z151-14 @ 11:24am is departing Wyoming Yard, MQT #3408 leading northbound trip

Z151-14 @ 11:37am northbound Second NW mp CGE1.2 in Grand Rapids, MI with MQT #3408 + MQT #3406 + MQT #3391 and 100 cars (mix of boxcars, covered hoppers, and tankers)

Grand Elk north through Byron Center at 2:07pm. WAMX 4125, WAMX 4189 and 16 cars. About half boxcars, half covered hoppers, and a tank car.

Back south 4189 4125 3:55pm. 15ish cars.

Grand elk north through Byron Center at 5:23pm, wamx 4125 and 4189 and 15 cars. Mix of tankcars, boxcars and a couple covered hoppers.

Grand elk north through Byron Center at 12:06pm. Wamx 4209 and wamx 4206 with 13 cars. Covered hoppers, boxcars and tank cars. Couple of those old MQT boxcars in there. Don't recall the southbound yesterday, probably why different power is up here today.
