10:20, D702 east clear EE Hudsonville with RD SLUG 2349, 2502 and 54 cars of usual Holland/west side “stuff.” A beautiful morning for 📸! I wonder if MofW slow orders are now in effect ahead of the surface work? D702 was inching through Zeeland, but they might have just been struggling with the long consist to get uphill to the top of the rise at MP19.

Also today, 2 centerbeams picked up from Zeeland Lumber, 1 dropped off.

That explains why the DD at mp CG19.1 @ 10:11 had only transmitted "No defects, no defects" and no axle or footage info. D702 was going too slow thru the DD site & the HBD's magnetic transducers couldn't generate a high enough electrical pulse for the wheel flanges passing over them to be detected properly.

Thanks for your reports on MOW info. Wondering when all this MOW west of MP 6.0 will commence?

With 54 cars and just a Mother & Slug I would bet D702 was on its knees trying to climb out of Zeeland. There were a few times over the years where Y121 would push D700 east to Vriesland out of Holland if the train was too much for a single Geep or a Mother/Slug.

Any clue as to when E800 might depart Fennville?

At this time, there isn't an empty coal train in Wells Siding mp CG43.3 This morning, E801-29 had departed Wells with the KCS #4878 leading & was at Bangor at 3:10am. There supposedly was a D crew on duty today at 4:30pm to put an empty coal train together in West Olive & bring it mostly likely to Wells, since, N800-02 had tied down in Grand Jct siding after he had gone by Bangor at 4:04pm today.
As of 7pm, I haven't heard an empty coal train requesting an EC1 to depart the power plant in West Olive.

Amtrak P370-02 @ 21:21 eastward reported by the DD mp CG91.9 with 16 axles & 306 ft.

D801-02 @ 21:29 copied his EC1 to depart the power plant at West Olive mp CGP 1.0 wait on the Wye in Holland until Amtrak passes by & then proceed westward to Wells Siding mp CG41.4 with CSXT engines #7010 + #16 & BNSF engines #6042 + #6288 & 130(?) empty coal cars. After he ties down the empty coal train inside Wells, he will cut away the CSXT engines & take them to the west end of Grand Jct Sising mp CG55.6 to DP the N800-02 that had tied down there today.

As of 23:30 or so WAS Howell was showing a clear aspect.
On my way back to Brighton CH 51 (EB) was green, CH 49 (WB) was red, and WAS WE Brighton was red.

Not sure if D705 or some other westbound passed me on my way back to Brighton but I heard nothing on the radio.
Micah brought up that they could be testing the signals as that specific one was having issues the other day, though I saw no maintainer out there.
