CN Train Location Updates - January 2023

WB E27121 w CN 2221 and all intermodal. They drop their autoracks in Flint and then, twice this week, have picked up the intermodal from Moterm that L507 brings up to Flint.

Passing MP 22.5 at 3 pm. A lot of mixed freight on the headend, boxcars, tanks, sand hoppers, etc.

And now at 3:09 pm 116 is passing 251 on Main 2 at MP 22.5, great train action on the two-tracked Holly mainline.

NB 515 past MP 22.5 on the Holly at 3:40 pm with four loaded side dump cars on the headend, some empty ones later, four loaded gondolas from DCON, plenty of tanks and empty centerbeams and Chrysler boxcars today.

18:28 - by MP 205. Power was 3050 and 3881.

EB E270 w BNSF 5974 solo was working Cory Yard at 17:00.

They had one covered gondola on the head end which was rather odd.

Sounds like from scanner chatter there is an E251 od and an X251 for later as well.

Another EB E260 w BNSF 4066 departed IHB Blue Island around 13:00 for Flint.

Cool!!!! You mean "ex Citi Rail" as they are CN now! That would have been cool with two on the rear! Hope this will happen again! What did it look like?

OK CSXBOY, I did not get a response! I would have loved seeing two ex Citi Rail units on the rear of the train! Were they actually on the very rear? Usually CN intermodal trains don't use D.P.U. here! But, would be cool! I have not seen two of these units on one train!!!! Or, were they just trailing the lead unit in front?

This was train Q132. It came into Flint w CN up front and one mid-DPU ex-CitiRail. It set off the rear half of the train in Flint and then picked up a second ex-CitiRail on the rear. Both units were rear facing.

In Battle Creek, they picked up some WB stacks and dropped one of the ex-CitiRail units.
