Re: CN Train Location Updates - October 2023

507 is flying by MP 22.5 at 5:48 pm. Six empty gons up front, probably for DCON on Monday. Autoracks after some mixed, more than usual, then containers.

You mean in Pontiac? Might be but DCON gets them from the south usually on this train or 251.RoyalKingoftheRails wrote: ↑Sat Oct 21, 2023 11:57 pmYou sure those aren't for Ferrous?Manistique wrote: ↑Sat Oct 21, 2023 5:48 pm507 is flying by MP 22.5 at 5:48 pm. Gotcha. Honestly it could go either way, we'll have to see where they decide to send them then.Manistique wrote: ↑Sun Oct 22, 2023 7:04 amYou mean in Pontiac? Re: CN Train Location Updates - October 2023
Flint Sub was very busy last night between 1 am to 2 am.
Westbound manifest went through before Q123 (or X123), I think it was M397.
Westbound intermodal train went through around 1:17 am, it was Q123 (Are they still calling it that? Or is it only running as needed now as X123?).
Later on Eastbound Z148 flew through.
Then a local from Flint took the Port Huron Wye into the Durand yard. Could have been that new L514 symbol which runs from Flint to the yard in Durand.

OK, do we know more about these E9AU engines? They must still be in Kirk Yard! Too bad CN is getting rid of these!!!! No more E-units now!!!!LansingRailFan wrote: ↑Fri Oct 20, 2023 9:07 pmCN L51591, Homewood to Kirk Yard, had IC 1001/CN 4775/CN 102 (E9AU) today. CN 102 has been sold or donated along with CN 103.
A move to Kirk and we should most likely see CN 102 on tomorrows M394
Where are they ultimately going? Luckily I have seen them in the past, just not #102 in "Green" colors!!!!
Here's a picture (Canon 35mm S.L.R.) that I (RLJ II) took of the 2005 CN/GTW "Santa Train" heading south at Delray Junction, Detroit, MI, 12-17-2005 with the two IC E9A units:

At the Homewood, IL "Heritage Days Festival" my late Dad (RCJ I) took this picture of CN 102 on display, May 17, 2009 (Mamiya Medium Format):

It's been rather quiet today. 251 already went through Durand. Nothing by MP 205 lately.
