CN Train Location Updates - February 2024

251 passing MP 22.5 at a fairly good clip for such a long train at 1:35 pm.

That E251 had a lot of empty racks on the head end again. Should be putting together an E294 out of Battle Creek to head west and then south to Memphis to get these racks off of CN and onto UP.

15:06 - NB M382 with CN 3348/CN 2976 thru Delray
14:00 - SB M383 with CN 3247/GECX 2029/CN 2929 and 157 cars departing Port Huron

M382 through Common Rd. @ 16:33. CN 3348 & 2976 with 151 cars. Nearly all empties today except for some loaded auto racks on the tail end today.

9607 followed Amtrak 355 down the Hill at 5:45 pm with four or five tanks cars and SB 513.

508 went past MP 22.5 around 6:15 pm. A lot of mix freight up front including autoracks and a few containers on the rear today. No steel coils. Two CN's as power.

Something went past MP 22.1, Opdyke Road, during my walk at 11:10 am. I couldn't see it, too far away still. From the horn and sound of a GE I am guessing it was 251 instead of 515. Very short train.

What was the power of Q116? Squib Rail on Youtube posted about a solo SD75i leading Q116, but I saw Q116 with two SD70M-2s take the Chicago Wye.
I’m confused and want to get this figured out

M385 through Mt. Clemens @ 15:53. CN 2983 & 2978 with 128 cars. Second half of the train consisting of empty auto racks. Haven’t had that in a while.

A short 507 with some mixed, some empty well cars and some containers went past MP 22.5 around 4:40 pm, a bit earlier than usual.

508 just went past MP 22.5 at 6:11 pm. Short train, all mixed with a few racks. Looked like some empty well cars (can't see in the ditch that well, wonder why they are going that way now?), no containers at all. Short train.
