SW wrote:Busy night at Wyoming Yard this evening! Arrived at Judd St. just after 7 pm. Q33501 was waiting just to the east at Plaster Creek, while 2 sets of switch engines (RCOs?) shuttled around the yard: CSX 1177/9248 and 1139/9249. Finally they paused long enough for 335 to enter the yard just before 19:30. Power was CSX 289, and there were 107 cars. The switchers went back to work, and then Q32701 showed up. It halted at the same spot as 335 had, while the switchers broke apart 335. Just after 20:00 327 came into the yard. Power was CSX 8096 / 8581, and there were 21 cars.

Over at the service track were CSX 7743 + 7544, and 9161.

I took off around 20:05. Then I heard X500 on the scanner; saw it at 20:15 in Jenison just off I-196 & Chicago Dr. CP 8626 was leading 66 cars (64 empty autoracks, a lone double stack as rsinoms mentioned, and a tanker).
CSX 7743 and 7544 were on Q335. You must've seen something else. Q327 maybe? But 107 cars???.....interesting.......

No, I definitely saw 335. Looks like somewhere between Breton and Plaster Creek 7743 + 7544 must have cut off and headed into the yard, and 289 was put on to pull it in when things cleared up a bit. I heard 327 on the scanner as it approached, and then saw it come into the yard.

Hmmm, interesting. 335 was going very slow when they headed by Breton, I wonder if they stopped at Seymour and cut off.

I agree with the dual unit on Q335. when i got through the gates, traffic was backed up all the way south to my church south of 32nd. Kinda amazing really.

Mike what do you think i do with my spare time?? Code of course!
