CN Train Location Updates - February 2024

17:00 - M394 thru East Lansing with CN 3000 and 3122 leading elephant-style. UP 5367 mid-train among manifest traffic. 176 cars.

Amtrak 355 and CN 507 passed each other just south of Opdyke Road, around MP 19.8 at 5:57 pm. 507 had some more empty well cars along with loaded ones tonight.

SB X275 with CN 3909 solo is rolling down the Clemens Sub - Richmond at 17:20

508 passing MP 22.5 at 7:10 pm. Short train again.

16:20 - WB Q139 with CN 3876/CN ex-CitiRail 3934 at Burlington West (Ontario). Another Brampton - Prince Rupert intermodal coming our way. Should be nearing Sarnia right now.

20:17 - EB Z148 with CN 5698/CN 5629 thru Mishawaka, IN

07:00 - WB Q139 with CN 3876/CN ex-CitiRail 3934 by the 204.4 cam

L500 ran early last night and was by the cam around 18:48 with 2 CN -

There was no L501 ordered overnight.

09:09 - EB M396 with CN 2875/CN 3861 thru Durand on M1

A SB 513 just went past MP 22.5 with a few cars and what sounded like a GP38 at 6:25 pm.

L507 is STILL doubling his train in moterm, I’ve heard at least over a mile long.

507 passing MP 22.5 at 7:18 pm. Only one locomotive tonight, it looked like an 8000 from the horizontal headlight. Working hard up the Hill but still running about 30 mph.

Long cut of empty wells that have been stored down there for quite some time. They are going to be taken to BIT by z148.

Are they doing that tomorrow? And if so, any idea what time or approximately a range of time Z148 will run to Moterm?

I don't "believe" Z148 will run to Moterm, of course I could be wrong, but typically L507 will run to Flint as usual and Z148 will pick up what L507 sets off in Flint and take it East.

BIT is the Brampton Intermodal Terminal in Ontario. Z148 is going to move those cars from Flint to Brampton.

I can say I have seen an X148 which ran with empty well cars to Moterm, loaded them up. Then I heard they ran through the Sugar House Wye and up the Mount Clemens. This was in May I believe of last year. So who knows, we’ll have to wait and see if anyone posts any updates in regards to it

Yes, that did happen. This is the normal Z148 however. it picked em up last night.

08:35 - WB Q187 thru Paris, Ontario with CN 3849 up front and rear dpu CN 2918 - this train is routed through Michigan
