I'm in Howell for the week for training at the engineers union facility, and while at the Holiday Inn Express currently (5:08PM), I can hear a train blowing for a crossing. I see there are CSX track near the hotel (next to Tanger Outlets). I think GLC goes through Howell also- maybe I'll see somehting this week...

CSX L302 is waiting on the main in Brighton currently for L303 which could be the one you heard in Howell.

R599-16 @ 20:40 eastward Holland, Mi Depot mp CG25.3 with CSX engines #3243 + #759 & BNSF engine #5714 & 130 loaded coal cars & rear dpu BNSF engine #9257. This was C800-14 that had tied down in Wells mp CG41.4 very early this morning. They had opted to place the CSX power on the headend of the train instead of placing them behind the BNSF leader. In about ½ mile he’ll diverge onto the west end of the Wye & onto the Fremont sub-division.

Thank you, Pudgy, it appears the "2" for 27 was cut off during the radio conversation & reviewed it a few times from the scanner archives & still just heard "7". Lately, some of the engineers have been just answering "yes" for the dpu during their job briefing. I had gotten used to them stating the actual dpu location as some had in the past.
