U302-10 @ 08:11 copied their EC1 for Ensel/Lake Odessa & permission for the Logan St switch in Lansing. CSX engines #3057 + #5440? Does anyone know the mile post for Logan Street & is it a crossing, no info in my old 2008 Time Table for Logan Street, unless, it had a different name back in 2008.

Amtrak P371-11 @ 08:20 westward reported by the Defect Detector mp CG91.9 St Joseph, Mi with 16 axles. IDTX engine #4607 & 3 Venture cars.

At this time, no activity has been heard for M327-11.

I am using an iPhone app called Locator, used to find all active railroad crossings in all states.

N. Logan St/Dewit east the closest public crossing near Lansing and it MP 89.98 and it is on the CSX lines. Just to the right of this crossing is what I believe to be the CSX Lansing Railyard. Unless they changed N Logan St to N. Martin King Jr Blvd.

Thank you, Andy :) I had thought Logan St was at the north end of Lansing. I don't have a mile post for Turner Street but it appears to be at Ensel near mp CH90?

Also, I found it's U302-10 that is working in Lansing at this time (not L302).

Logan street in Lansing was renamed Martin Luther King Jr Blvd in 1994, and yes, is the grade crossing at the west end of Ensel Yard and at the west end of the double track.

Turner Street is the crossing at the east end of the yard, and is very close to the CH90 milepost. Turner Street is where the JAIL jumps off the CSXT and onto the former Lansing Manufacturers Railway west side belt line.

Interesting, my friend, sis-in-law and nephew live on Logan St up in Dewitt, and it pretty closely lines up with MLK/Dewitt road as well. Bet it's just an extension of Logan St up there since it pretty closely lines up with their home. Thanks for the history info Mr Historical Man!

Ha we r neighbors.

I live off of DeWitt Rd which is essentially MLK.

Old timers in Lansing still call MLK “Logan”

I‘ll nose around and see if/when DeWitt Rd was changed from Logan.

There is a rail grinder sitting in East Yard in Plymouth facing east, visible from Haggerty Road. Does anybody have any information on what it is doing here?
