Mineral Range from the week after Christmas heads into Humboldt after a fresh 6" of snow. The wind was kind enough to pick up and blow some off the pines as the train came into view.

CERY and I ripped out most of that track to the right of the power, or Main 2 as we called it. Need the tie plates for the mason siding rebuilding we did.

You guys are bold to stand on that narrow, curved off ramp bridge! True, there is a moderately wide right shoulder there, but that ramp is usually full of grumpy state workers flying into work :lol: Great vantage point though!

Amtrak's Pere Marquette unloads passengers at its final stop in Grand Rapids on a warm summer night. The old Amtrak station at the top of the Sunnyside wye, while in a bad spot logistically, was more conducive to photography than the current station next to US 131. Once the passengers are off, the train will shove 3 miles north to the Grand Rapids Eastern RR's yard, where it will spend the night. 6/19/2010

EJ&E SD38-3 #659 rolls along by itself on the Pontiac Belt Line, heading for the scrap yard to pull a few loads. This is CN's L513 job, which works the yard and industries in Pontiac. At one time, there were over 20 daily locals that ran out of Pontiac, now this is the only one. 9/19/2021
