Scaletrains NS C40-9 Rivet Counter question

Today I purchased my 5th scaletrains HO Scale locomotive, which is a NS C40-9 with the number 8844, this unit has both sound and DCC.
This engine is apart of the newest run of SCT's Dash 9's. I have models from the first two Dash 9 product runs. However, I've heard that the new Dash 9's are equipped with an updated version of Loksound 5. Is there anything I should know if anyone has a new run scaletrains Dash 9?
Also a fun and irrelevant fact, the engine I bought, #8844, I believe was the last C40-9 to be retired before all of them were rebuilt. Keep an eye out for a product review on my YouTube channel and this website!
