HO NS engines, 2017 era

Unread post by David Collins »

I’m trying to find some engines NS used back in 2017 in the mountains of PA, First thing that comes to mind is the SD80MAC, but any other suggestions?

Basically anything. The SD80MACs were really only used on the coal trains in the Cassandra-Cresson area. Once in a while some would get out and roam a little further from home. But for that area you could get away with Dash 9s (including the spartan cab versions), SD70s, SD70Ms, ES40DCs, ES44ACs, SD75Ms, SD70M-2s, SD70ACes, SD60s, SD60Ms, SD60Is, SD60Es, SD40-2s, SD40Es, C40-8Ws, GP60s, GP59s, GP40-2s, GP50s, GP38-2s, ex UP/CEFX/INRD SD9043MACs, SD70ACUs. Pretty much anything other than some of the more obscure yard power.
