GTW SW1200 1269 (could be 1209 according to latest photo) is from a 1957 delivery of SW1200’s to the GTW from EMD. I’ll have to check the roster records on me but at some point she was transferred to the Central Vermont and then sold to a party in South Dakota called the Ellis and Eastern RR.

Nice find. The first 2 orders of "road switcher" SW1200s were delivered in the 1200 series but were quickly renumbered into the 1500s. 1509 was one of the 4 GTW SW1200s that were transferred to the CV.

Former GTW GP9R 4617 was photographed on the 9th of August 2022 being scrapped. One less GTW GP9R in existence.

That was a suggestion I made back in May which is the last time the page was updated. Was it on there before then? My most recent post is referring to GTW 4617 being scrapped.

I have the GP9Rs somewhat up to date on the GTW Diesel Roster page, just haven't gotten around to adding them to the survivors page yet. https://railroadfan.com/wiki/index.php/ ... er_Details

Yes, and I have been helping SD80MAC with this page. Just updated it last week to show 4610 and 4620 being sold to Stewart Southern Railway in Saskatchewan.

I believe only two GP9Rs have been scrapped as of 2022:
4617 was a longtime parts source for the Carolina Coastal.
4629 was likely scrapped by CN or PRLX due to a bent frame according to the folks at LocoNotes. This locomotive was retired by CN on 11/21/2007.
