If you get to north central UP, the LS&I is operating U30's heading west out of Eagle Mills to the Tilden mine. We have two consists operational right now. The 3000-3009, and the 3073-3074. We use the AC44's in the Empire because we need the extra power to pull loads up the steep grade in the mine. We also use AC44's on the hill because they are more dependable and have full range dynamic brakes. The dock job also uses the AC44's because they are often used on the hill.
