Peaker Services will be equipping 50 CSX locomotives with DPU equipment. Not sure what all they will be, but there is at least one CW44AC there currently.

2233 should be an RDMT

What I meant was since it was without a GP40-2, I wondered if its sold, or why its going to Selkirk.

2233 should be a former GP30 slug, so that’s definitely sold. They’re all retired/sold.

Does anyone have any definitive info on the 70MAC rebuild project? Is that still on-going? Which units have been rebuilt?

Two different series because two different truck types, right?

The 7000s were built as CW44ACs with GE's regular Hi-Ad trucks. The 7200s were built as CW44AHs with GE's radial self-steering trucks.

Count 248 on that too unless it’s already been rebuilt

Hearing the acquisition of Pan Am (Guilford) is a go, first priority is track upgrades for 40 mph, quite an improvement from current conditions.

The last legal communication was a revised CSX application filed with the STB on July 1.
Parties have a few more days to indicate if they wish to participate in the proceedings.
The acquisition is definitely not a go as of today.

If it does happen, it will be interesting to see what Pan Am locomotives CSX holds on to, if any.

I could only see them keeping the SD40-2's and maybe the few widecab dash 8's...

Now that CSX has changed its corporate logo and done away with "boxcar" logo, was just sent photos of the first two locomotives to be repainted in the former reincarnated YN3 paint scheme. Unless we come up with a new paint designation name, the YN3 scheme will grow again, and the YN3b will decrease. The first two are new SD70Mac rebuilds 4532 & 4535. Both units were in YN3 to start but now have a fresh coat of "new" YN3.

Side and front/rear logos have returned to the much larger size if not even larger than before on the sides. A further change will be coming very soon as 155 has been repainted from YN2, which was a wreck repair after being stored at Selkirk for quite some time. This unit and all others there after will have the CSX Web address spelled out below the side logos. The only other change, that will not be that noticeable is the top of the front nose above the yellow is now black as well as the walkway on both sides.
