CSXT 7380 an ACEs equipped rebuild should be added to the roster if it hasn't been already. sounds like the rebuilds coming out of Erie will be about half and half ACEs equipped units for the Northeast.

Chessie System heritage is out, I’m starting to like this fade concept that they’re doing.

I would have preferred that "Chessie System" on the long hood been a bit bigger. Even with the restrictive layout of the doors and equipment, seems they could have done better. Nice to have it, but nothing earth shaking here.

Isn't the Chessie Logo supposed to be on the front on the unit?

Yes, the "C" cat logo is supposed to be on the front! But, with CSX "Heritage Units" we have the new paint in the front "Fading" into predecessor colors! David Collins mentions about the "fade concept!" Fair idea, but yes I would rather have fully painted units!!!!

Today, M326-19 @ 11:15:14 eastward Division St crossing Bangor, Mi mp CG60.93 cam with CSX engines #7503 + #3265 & 33 cars. How long were the CSX 7500 series rebuilds out for? M326 has CSX 7503 leading and L303 later will have CSX #7504 leading on the Plymouth Sub.

About a year now. The AC44C6M rebuilds going into the 7500 series. Are the AC44AH units so the 495-599 + 5100-5122 units. There are two or three older AC44CWs that where retrofitted too.

Being the newer AC44s in the fleet. Not many have been sent for rebuilding. Mostly units stored out of service. Either with major mechanical problems or wrecked units. 7503 was orginaly 535. 7504 was 564.

I remember the 7500s being the standard cab dash 8s. I assume those are all off the roster?

All retired in 2016. The only standard cab Dash 8s still on the roster are those acquired from the recent purchase of Pan Am.

So what has happened to 1827? The B&O heratage unit. Earlier this week she was on M364 heading to Selkirk, NY. The last report on Heratage units listed it as being in Amsterdam, NY on 6/14/23. Now Heratage Units site has locked the unit from reporting. Saying it is on the shops.

Any report on what's happend or where she is???

Nailed the font, nailed the color and the gray compared to the YN3 is absolutely money.

Sounds like the time is up for the Tier 4 ACe’s on the CSX roster. These units were apparently never owned by the railroad and were just on a lease. Not idea as to when they’ll officially be returned it’s lessor, progressrail

All new locomotives are leased, this is not a unique situation.
