CSXT GMS-2 has been repainted into what seems to be a mix of YN3c & the B&O Heritage Livery

Originally built as Alco RSD15s for the PRR. Chopped down into MT6 slugs in the early 1980s, eventually re-trucked with Flexicol trucks from retired SD35s. Not sure if CSX still has any ex Conrail MT4s, but those were the same idea, cut down from RS11s. The MT6s were always mated with SD38 mothers, the MT4s were usually with GP10s but many were paired with SD38s as well after the GP10s were retired.

If these paint totals are correct, there has to be 40 new retired units I am not aware of. I am showing 369 units in YN2 and 3,494 on roster total. Also, what is a YN2b unit?

I have YN2b has the AC6000 YN2 Variant with the yellow side logo.

I'm not sure what engines exactly were retired and when... A large portion of those would probably be GP30 RDMT's

You might as well just take 600, 601 & 602 (AC6000CW’s) off of the list, they aren’t going to run anytime soon if ever.

You can learn more about the Alco history of the MT-6 slugs, MT-4 slugs, and their Conrail slug mothers in a post I made at this link: http://indianarailroads.org/board/index ... #msg207381

Everyone should be able to view and read even without being a member there.

Except for two wrecked and retired units years ago, there are still 118 of the SD70ac 4700 & 4800 series units, except for a couple, that have turned a wheel in well over three years, yet stil rostered. Does this mean Talk should eliminate all of these off his roster too? Any unit CSX has not officially retired can not be removed just because they are not actice.

I suppose this is a good place to ask, anyone know what happened to CSX 2437?
2437 was an SD40-2 and was last reported on RR Picture Archives in 08/2015 in CSX's Selkirk Yard.
I presume it's in storage or has been renumbered? Thanks in advance.

I'm unsure of it's location or of it's in storage or not, but in 2016 it was repainted into YN3b and it is still on roster

CSX 451 has been painted into YN3c
Was just sent a photo taken this afternoon, Feb. 14th, in Russell Ky. of CSX 451 and it remains in YN2 paint. This was reported as YN3c on January 4th. Anyone who has changed this unit to YN3 needs to remove it.

Train I143 had CW40-8 7811-7929 passes Pelham yesterday at 104 pm plus got video of train and already thru Cordele this morning.
Question ask: is the 4700-4800 SD70AC gonna get rebuild?
How many CM44AC planned gonna be rebuild since seeing few CW44AC going to Texas for possible rebuilding ?
Any possible rebuilding on 4 axles EMD ?
