A quick PSA (not train related)
IF YOU ARE DRUNK, YOU ARE NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. I’m spreading that message as my girlfriend got in a serious head on accident that involved a drunk driver yesterday. She’s in critical condition but she should make a full revovery. There was, however, a time period though the evening that we (her parent...

Re: CSX Locomotive Roster News, Updates & Information Thread
This may seem like a stupid question: with CSX doing the GP40-3 rebuild and leaving the original cab on, is it possible that the SD40-3 rebuild program comes back with the same concept that is being used on the geeps (same cab, newer tech, etc)? Or is the SD23 or ET23 or whatever it’s called the pat...

L303-31 update: it sounds like will instead be the crew for a loaded Grain to depart from Grand Rapids with CSX engines #160 + #228 (elephant style) that he is now spinning & will also need to cut away the last 3 cars due to them being Bad Orders. He'll have 87 grain cars. Where is this grain train...

Katie unfortunately was not with me. I was lone wolf on this chase.
I made the decision to drop some money on a dash cam shortly after this trip. I’ll be able to avoid having to go handheld from now on after I get it (in the coming days).

Love the classic Canadian horn on that thing. I was all over it too, I’m gonna be 100% straight up and say it was one of the coolest horns I’ve ever heard. I got a video of that unit and another train I filmed in Royal Oak a few days before that chase happened that I have premiering on Monday, the ...

In today’s world, it could very well be that something about Mr. Gearhart’s past made it inappropriate to continue to have the yard named after him. This may not sound relevant, but hear me out: Ferris State University has a building called the David L Eisler center (for the many FSU alumni on this...

I continue to see a steady flow of these gondolas cycling through CN’s Pontiac yard. From there they go to either the Ferrous Processing yards in Pontiac or Detroit (on DCON). The majority of them go to DCON. However some of them go up to the Ferrous facility on the former PO&N in Auburn Hills. Unr...

Well James, you have CSX M326 and M327 that run but they dont stick to a daily schedule so you'll have to figure out a day they both run. Usually CSX run's 2 coal drags through there a day. Amtrak 370 and 371 also travel down the CSX. (370 is mornings and 371 is nights) for AML wise you have one NS...
