Re: LSRC SD70's?
You beat me to it. Just watched a clip on FB of the three leasers making their way to Durand. Anyone know if the LSRC will be replacing them with something? Seems like they will need the extra power in the next year or so.

Re: GDLK Operations
I noticed the coke cars the GDLK is delivering to the MSO seem to be staying in White pigeon. There were five of them on the old wye spur and two more on the inbound track. Who ever is receiving them is getting quite a few.

Re: ADBF/IO
What is interesting is the Google Maps image of Riga Jct. There is a train on the IORY in the maps image. The train is actually split in two in this picture. South of the interchange are 10 cars, which I presume are headed north to Flat Rock for interchange with CN. North of / on the interchange sw...

4209 and another SD unit hooked onto the 4225 and pulled it and the string of cars off the Otsego line this afternoon around 3:00 pm. Conductor jumped off to align the switch back to the main after the train cleared and continued south. Conductor then jumped into a pickup and left. I picked up my g...

Re: A Lil Story ABout PTC...good luck!
No. ok all i need to know
The best move the railroads could have done to head off PTC is to treat their employees as humans. And a big part of that would be to give their employees a regular shift schedule.
Most crews do have a schedule. Those that don't are on the extra board. Tra...

Re: A Lil Story ABout PTC...good luck!
Personally, I would eliminate the current crew calling system. These are people, not robots. Why can't the train crew have regular, unchanging, established shifts? That goes great with the in-vogue precision railroading the some rail whiz-bangs and wall street promote. You ever worked for a railroa...

Re: GDLK Operations
Does GDLK have a second local crew working the south end of the railroad? I came across the 4017 and 4009 in Bristol IN last night with a very 501 looking train. I'm used to seeing 501 head south in the morning following 302. Also made my first police contact of 2018. A MSP Trooper reminded me to u...
