Franklin Park is one of my favorite spots, if only for the previous likelihood of getting a Soo Line or DME/ICE unit rolling through, plus I think Indiana Railroad still runs up there now and again. Congress needs to stop thinking they can run a railroad. There is a reason they are at Capitol Hill & not in Ft. Worth, Jacksonville, or Omaha.

I highly DONT Reccomend going to Englewood. Would much rather go to Blue Island or Dolton.

I agree. CP should be, under no circumstances, held liable for another companies actions. CP didn't supply the crew, or the locomotives. Just the train, If Im correct.

Robbins, which is not a great area is right next to it. Blue Island is a safe spot I guess. I have never had a problem with the people there. It is readily accessible from the crossing. Blue Island, IL is a great place to see assortments of locomotives and freight. CSX, CN, IHB & IAIS all own lines there but you could see all 7 Class I RR's power there.
