Re: GLC derailment at Oak Grove crossing
That siding does indeed start just south of the Oak Grove road crossing, and was used mostly for storage. I had a small farm off of Oak Grove road, years ago, when it was TSBY. I could see the old TSBY Alcos every afternoon heading up through Cohoctah with short trains, from the back of my property.

Re: Kentucky Question
Bowling Green has the Historic Rail Park and Louisville and Nashville depot and museum. They have an L&N passenger train and E-8 loco, which I rode home on leave from Biloxi, Mississippi several times back in the 60s, along with static displays and an HO train layout. They also have both guided and ...

Re: COVID-19 Poll
This isn't going to end anytime soon. Covid has become an industry of its own. Billions of dollars involved, for tests, the people who administer the tests. The labs that check the tests. Contact tracers all over the country. Thousands of jobs. Millions of masks used and thrown away every day. Hospi...

Re: Did GTW Acquire PC Track in Oxford?
I worked for the GTW in Pontiac during the late 60s. I don't know what we owned in Oxford, but we ran a PO and N [Pontiac, Oxford and Northern] local that way several times a week, and they brought back a lot of gravel from the Oxford gravel pits.
