CSX GenSet at Wyoming Yard 5-12-08

I saw a CSX NRE GenSet sitting outside the house this morning. Any idea what she's doing in GR? How many do they have?

Re: CSX GRE MQT Train Location Update 4-1-08

Two unit coal trains at the old GRI North yard waiting to go north 1 to the new power plant at Ludington, the other is for Tondu in Manistee. Power on one is new BNSF run thru, the other has Greinsteins. That's wrong. I heard it was a Big Boy pulling one of those loads. I keep having a dream about ...

Nice job Camera Guy Bry. Lets work on a new one tomorrow. And yes folks. For those of you thinking about getting into the industry, be careful what you wish for. It will be your life until you quit, retire or die. Personally though, I have no regrets. If its in the blood, you will be around for alo...

Nice video. I especially liked that it didn't have any annoying music in it--just the sounds of the engines. I do have one suggestion, though, try to get a wind filter for the microphone, that would have made it even better! -- Garry K Amen to the lack of music. Nothing beats the sound of a turboch...

Very nice. Would love to hang out on a real freight line for a day and see what it's really like. Is everyone really nice? How do you like working there? Ive been thinking about switching careers, but I'm not sure if I want to make that leap yet. I'm thankful to work where I do because the majority...

My Marquette Rail Video on YouTube

Hey Everybody, I had some fun using my digital camera in video mode. It started out as an idea that turned into a full-length production. Enjoy!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujN-f2ZiYXA Also, here's a shot from our daylight run seen in the second half of the video: http://a292.ac-images.myspacec...

I was Conductor on the Baldwin Turn yesterday. We had 30-something cars going South last night. We were pushing a lot of snow between Walhalla and Baldwin so I can only imagine the copious amounts of snow South. I talked to CSX when we tied up at 10:00pm last night and they had 15 cars for us to go ...

All is quiet on the Marquette too. You can tell it's mid-week, lower car counts. No biggie. Off to Manistee I go...

That is MQT's colors and I'm not sure if it's publicly accessible, but I can tell you it's quite the hike from the nearest public road. I prefer to keep off RailPics for a few reasons. Thanks for the compliments guys! "MQT Throttle Jockey Trainee" Bryan I though you were gonna fix that on Saturday....

The weather is nice and calm up here in Manistee. My contacts in Indiana told me that Elkhart was up to 20 inches at 10am. How much snow do you have?
