Thought on Railfanning cultures

Okay so I came across this video on youtube today, read the title 'disorderly railfanning' and it got me thinking what would the US railfans make of the UK scenes bashers. The difference in rail enthusiast culture being this, in the states we photograph and lineside more that ride trains as you can'...

Re: Info request.

The general structure of these however is good in that it is built to last a long time. I mean if you were to gut the insides and insert a new engine (like the genset). I mean is there a surplus of F40PH/F59PH around atm? Not exactly, e's and f's are unibody's, not frame on construction, any cosmet...

Re: Info request.

Thats a start for sure. You help you guys have provided has been brilliant. I've also had a look at NREX, I think for us they are going to be the way to go but Ozark mountain rail car looked interesting for sure. I really appreciate the input and ideas.

Re: Info request.

Thanks very much for the replies, that was super helpful. I'm going to pick brains one more time with a questions. Seems very active as one of the triple crown services was ready to head north onto the new connection instead of south with a pair of dash9s. A week or so ago I was in bellevue and saw a contai...
