Unexpected find near Saginaw today
I was coming home from up north today, and heard a train horn as I was approaching the Kochville Rd. crossing near Zilwaukee, and I couldn't believe what I saw! Great Lakes Central 393 pulling a string of covered hoppers and tank cars! On Huron & Eastern/Central Michigan trackage!!! I saw Carl worki...

Re: Railroad document collectors
I know what you mean about not remembering everything you have in your collections; in an O/T hobby of mine (scale model cars) I had in excess of 2000 unbuilt kits at one point, with no idea of what I exactly had. It took a bit, but I've pared it down to close to 500 kits now, but it's still hard to...

O scale locos & passenger cars for sale
I have several O scale model railroad items for sale; these are new in the box, never run, I only removed them to take photos. First is a Williams GP7-103 #5902 Chesapeake and Ohio/Chessie System locomotive. It has powered maintenance free can motor with precision flywheel, True-Blast II digital bel...

I agree! Been receiving this for several months, great articles, although very ad-laden, but sometimes the ads contain special offers for readers, like the recent free fiber optics kit.

What is your favorite model railroading web site?
I lost all of my model RRing bookmarks, so if you can post your favorites, I'll be able to recover them. Sites on layout construction, weathering, just about anything would be great. TIA.

I don't know if he posts here, but from his 'handle', I'd guess he works for the Saginaw Township Fire Dept. and his last name might be Beeker (stfdbeeker). Just a guess. Nice layout, tho!

Re: "Vintage Beer Brands"..
i think the reason it taste different is one word GLASS. Pop tasted a lot better when it was in glass bottles. Actually, glass is not the only reason for the different taste- years ago, the only sweetener used was plain old sugar, nowadays they used fructose. Big difference in flavor!! I get Coke f...

Re: Gratiot Valley Show Anyone?
I went today, first time I've ever been to their show (I go to the same building for the model car show in Nov & April), was amazed and awed at the selection and the number & quality of the layouts on display.
