The depot is the Potter St. depot; it burned about 10-15 years ago, a pretty spectacular fire that was probably started by vagrants that were living inside. There is a group that has been raising money to restore the depot; they've put a temporary roof on it, fenced it to keep out trespassers, but t...

July 12th in Saginaw

I always wondered what happened to all of the luggage the airlines lost- now I know. They ship it by rail! Took these photos in Saginaw yesterday, a few more in the album. Thanks, Patrick, I wondered about that- why there would be two yards. I never even knew the yard on Wilder existed until the 4th of July when I took a drive near the yacht club. Hadn't been around Bay City for awhile. Where abouts is the yard I've heard mentioned in Essexville, and who's is it, do y...

railfanning in Saginaw area

Hello, all-- I'm new to your group, just discovered it. Looks like the place to be for information on Tri-City railroading action! A few questions, if you don't mind- I've finally been able to do some railfanning during the day, and would like to catch the action around Saginaw, Bay City, etc. When ...
