Re: Hamilton Northwestern Railroad Co.
I stopped by Hamilton this morning and saw the two Hamilton Northwestern Railroad engines parked on the main track south of the trestle. Looking at the rails it had been a long time since a train came through.

Re: Traverse City Railroad Questions
Thanks for all of the answers. One more question...is the wye still used that crosses Cass Street in Traverse City? It looks rather overgrown. I am surprised it is still in place. It looked the same on my 1988 visit.

Traverse City Railroad Questions
I've been looking at the Traverse City area recently using Google and I was curious as to the current status of freight operations in and around there. I was last there in 1990. 1. Is it operated by GLC? I saw a reference on this message board to the line from Walton Junction up to TC being part of ...

Does Michigan Shore Operate on Saturdays?
Hi-
I will be in Grand Haven in a couple of weeks over a weekend. I was curious if Michigan Shore operates on Saturdays, and if so, about what time does the train pass through?
Thanks

Re: Chicagoland
Rondout in the northern suburbs of Chicago is a popular place. Safe viewing from a pedestrian bridge that spans frequent Canadian Pacific, Metra, and Amtrak trains. Rondout was also the place of the largest train robbery in US history and there's a memorial noting it. https://www.hmdb.org/m.asp?m=54...

Re: Elkhart and Western Project
Sort of confused here. Does this mean NS trains will run all the way west down the E&W line to near the Ozinga plant to interchange cars?
Also what is the best time to catch the E&W in action? Do they run on a certain schedule?
Thanks

Best Time To Catch NS Switching South Bend Industrial Tracks?
I heard that since NS pulled their South Bend-based job that worked the remaining industries it now comes out of Elkhart at night to head west and work South Bend. Does anyone know if that is still the case, or is it possible to catch NS working the remaining industries on South Bend's south and sou...

Is the old Lifesavers Plant located at 635 E 48th St Holland, MI 49423? That's what came up when I Googled it. What does Lumbermen's do and is ...
