First off, the lines through Upper Sandusky are the CSX Columbus Sub (north-south), and the Chicago, Fort Wayne, & Eastern RR (east-west). On the latter, the CF&E runs a local every once and a while through town, and the Wheeling and Lake Erie RR runs on that line a few times a week. I'm not sure if...

One spot that is definitely worth your time is Attica Jct. Alot of people I've talked to have never heard of it before, but it can get quite busy. CSX Willard Sub crosses NS Sandusky District. I'd say about 15-20 a day on NS and CSX about 40. Another spot not alot of people know about is Greenwich. ...

Pan Am CSX
Is CSX using the former pan Am line from Mechanicsville to Deerfield? From what I see, most former pan Am traffic to and from the Albany area goes on the CSX main.

If you want to try it out, Alexis Jct on the north side is a decent spot.....also, you can the foot bridge by the Amtrak station.

Travel a little SW to Joliet...this has UP, BNSF, and CN, but not all at the same spot....Also, try Homewood and Matteson for all CN

Belt Railway of Chicago's Clearing yard is by far the biggest yard in Chicago. The Cicero rd, Harlem Ave, and Pulaski rd overpasses are all excellent. The west end of marble St looks like a good spot....you can look north and see NS, CSX, and the south shore rr.....otherwise, marble St or wabash st look like your best bet

I know a few locals based out of Gang Mills yard in Corning NY, like H06 goes to Geneva and I'm pretty sure H05 is the yard switcher. But I'm confused about locals H16, H85, H12, and H17.
