Re: NS Peavine talk
Just in this mornings news… Purina planning a SECOND manufacturing facility next to it’s existing massive manufacturing project. The existing project will produce dry food. The second facility will produce wet food. Nestle had purchased 55 acres adjacent to its existing project. Think it’s safe to s...

Re: Some questions about railfanning in Ohio
I think in the beginning couple hours she wasn’t getting much info and was incredibly agitated because of that. I remember her asking the engineer to get info from the conductor who had walked back to the issue and to find an ETA to move again. Obviously this wasn’t moving and the scope of that wasn...

Thought I read somewhere Purina would be 5 cars daily! This is going to become a very busy line!

Re: NS Peavine talk
I posted this earlier, but with the insane amount of modern, efficient, powerful locos sitting in yards collecting dust, I’m baffled as to why class A RR’s don’t try to offload a couple to short lines rather than let them sit and take up more lease payments. Instead CCET buy these old clunkers. Does...

Re: NS Peavine talk
Big Bob I don't think the CCET wants to put powers that are not being used on the sidings. Most of the time the sidings are pretty full with tankers, spines, and box cars of late. Most of there sidings are out east away in remote areas. Powers could get damaged, spray painted or worse. Don't think ...

Re: NS Peavine talk
Surprised the CCET couldn’t get one of these at an extreme bargain. PSR has sidelined hundreds if not thousands of engines. Pretty interesting video below of BNSF engines sitting by the hundreds.

Re: New Ohio Online Rail Map
Pretty neat! Obviously you can view pdf on your device, but you can also request a physical map. I requested one and I had a shipping envelope arrive in the mail 3 days later with 2 maps! Maybe something neat to frame?

Re: NS Peavine talk
If it comes is definitely a legit concern. Hopefully they begin pouring money into it now. If it does I believe they definitely use rail service. I’ve seen a couple of these and lots going in and lots going out. If all goes to plan this will be huge for the peavine! I'd not hold my breath when it co...

Re: NS Peavine talk
That is huge news! Had no idea! Makes you wonder if NS would want to take the line back? The Peavine will be receiving a new customer in the next two years as Nestle Purina Pet Care is going to construct a 550 million dollar state of the art pet food plant in Clermont County. The plant will be ready...
