Yes, we get to use it as Taxiway H now. Really helps when we need to de-ice planes especially. I had only ever seen one operation on the runway they closed anyway. It was virtually useless due to approach path cleanance issues. The clear zone clonflicted with hold pad for the parralell runway. There was no cure for it due to the landlocked nature of the airport. One time somebody accidentally landed on it when they weren’t supposed to as well. That turned into a big deal. The tower controller acted like it didn’t happen but we all saw it. Pretty sure I know the pilot that filed the paperwork alerting the FAA to the issue. Shortly after that we heard the runway was being taken out of commision.
