I mean once you get to expensive stuff like art then there may be more rich folk

But 95% of people attending auctions are not "rich"

Auctions are just rich people fighting with money

If anyone wants a cheap EV, the auction sites are all full of them

It’s just that a $17k repair is a lot in teslas case. Need to standardize the batteries more and hopefully keep getting a decrease in cost. You can get a used battery far cheaper to install into that used car, like how you can get a salvaged engine for older cars, rather than buying a new engine.

sounds about right. Like when an engine or tranny dies on a gas car and the car is worth about as much as replacing the broken parts. I know if my engine or tranny blew on my car, no way I’d replace it, let the car go.
