I saw the video the gunshots were pretty audible, but that doesn’t really tell you anything. They did however kill the shooter apparently.

You are 100% not allowed to bring any weapons in. Metal detectors are employed.
@ GRHC « Sat 8:28:51 pm »
I wonder if they screen for weapons when people enter the event/rally area. Or are you encouraged to bring weapons i’m not really sure of the proper etiquette for one of these events.
@ Chip « Sat 8:17:35 pm »
There’s plenty of people who could have seen that coming but assumed nobody was stupid enough to actually try it.
@ DaveO « Sat 7:48:40 pm »
reports are he’s okay. that is not how democracy works. settle your beefs with a ballot.

Impressive mileage still. What finally ended it? Was it being saddle sore?

I wouldn’t race one unless I had a stage two tuned ZL1 or C7 Z06
@ David Collins « Sat 4:27:06 pm »
Took the trackhawk out on Woodward last night, a BMW M4 tried pulling me, those things can beat anything when they’re modded and tuned right and I could hear the turbo from a mile away. Not worth my time

break free of ....?
Today was just not in the cards. Made it 53 miles at least to Sand Lake and had wifey give me a ride home. Not a bad 48 hours though, 45 miles Thurs night, 105 yesterday, 203 total. So much nicer sleeping on state land where it looked like no one had been in months compared to just off busier trails. Slept quite well, didn't wake till 7:45am. Pretty dark sky out there near Chase, clear, could see the stars well, even with the moon out.

Chamois Butt’r. Any time I ride more than an hour I use it on my butt, privates, etc. If i go more than 50 miles I carry extra with me just in case.

Some beeswax and vitamin E salve my wife witched up for me did the trick. Struggled a few other times as well but nothing as bad as the cheap bike shorts for 75 miles day.
@ Jetlink « Sat 3:30:16 am »
I also know that is miserable. Been there done that once. I was riding again in two days but needed some help. Learned my lesson on wearing cheap or no cycling shorts. Ther really do have a purpose.

My girlfriend said that (from a CNA’s perspective) with the symptoms he mentioned in the comments of his post, it should have put him at the top of the waiting list for possibly a stroke.
