I like DaveO’s empire. I’ve tried a couple of times to build layouts. Failed.

The entire bridge. Wowzer. Really shows the through truss design. A cantilevered bridge may have left a few more spans standing.

I am not disagreeing with you. The max does climb at a slower vertical rate usually. I’m just kinda curious if what you are doing correlates to what we actually do.

how are you programming it to climb? Do you hand fly? Vnav? Level change? Vert speed? Cws? How are you managing speed and power while climbing?

The Max 8 is about 9000lbs heavier than a -800 but only has about 1000 more pounds of thrust available in normal ops.

Knowing how corporate exits go when things go wrong nowadays, they’ll probably leave with a golden 787 :)
@ DaveO « Mon 12:32:34 pm »
what isn’t known yet is how big is the golden parachute. as long as boeing didn’t pack it... they likely will be well compensated for their stellar management at boeing.
@ ~Z~ « Mon 12:10:32 pm »
i see boeing CEO is leaving at the end of the years, and Ed Clark, who headed the 737 Max division, will leave Boeing immediately.

Not unless it involves tractors, fire trucks, or large fires. Usually in a field. Not an intersection.
@ Jetlink « Sun 2:26:50 pm »
Thanks for the info David. Doesn’t sound dangerous. Just annoying to the non participants.
@ David Collins « Sun 2:04:14 pm »
But I really can’t say that stuff when my dream car is a 2022 Charger Hellcat Jailbreak
@ David Collins « Sun 2:03:30 pm »
They street race with ‘em too. Which doesn’t look great on Dodge since the hellcat and all variants of it is technically a production street legal drag car.
@ David Collins « Sun 2:01:50 pm »
Ever since Dodge started making the Hellcat/Scatpack, takeovers have been so incredibly common from what I’ve seen.
@ David Collins « Sun 1:59:11 pm »
Me and my buddy were out in his Dodge Jailbreak heading home from a car meet and got stuck during a takeover on Dixie Highway up in Waterford, and people were begging us to get in the pit since we had an 800 horsepower Dodge Charger (the hellcat jailbreak has 807hp). Literally 45 seconds after those people begging left us alone the blue and whites showed up.
@ David Collins « Sun 1:56:12 pm »
From my experience watching them happen, you call the cops asap. Normally if they go long enough someone gets hurt and/or cars get wrecked. Those take high priority for cops from what I’ve seen.
@ Jetlink « Sun 1:47:35 pm »
So what is the best way for a bystander who is not involved and just wants to be left alone to proceed. We were pinned in three cars back on the inside lane of 3 southbound lanes with no way out.
@ Jetlink « Sun 1:46:12 pm »
So what

A bunch of street racer types blocked off cicero avenue just in front of us and started climbing all over the signs and poles and began setting off fireworks and dancing. A bunch of people started getting out of their cars wearing masks. We couldn’t get out forwards backwards or side ways. After about 5-10 minutes the police showed up and they took off and traffic started flowing again.
That’s whats called a takeover. Normally though they’d block the intersection completely and start doing donuts with multiple cars at a time in the middle of it, which they call “the pit” in the street racing world.
That was also happening.
